HomeViewCarpets Limited, trading as Home View Carpets ("Home View", "we", "us"), respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it and what we do with it.

HomeViewCarpets Limited (company number 17195408, registered in England) is a choose-at-home carpet and flooring service covering Doncaster and surrounding towns.

What we collect

When you fill in a form on our website or on one of our Facebook or Instagram adverts, or when you call or email us, we may collect:

  • your name

  • your phone number and email address

  • your postcode, address or town

  • details about the flooring you want, such as the type of flooring, which rooms, extras, timescale and rough budget

  • the best time to call you, and anything else you choose to tell us

Why we use it

We use your details only to:

  • contact you about your enquiry

  • arrange a home visit, measure and quote

  • carry out and follow up on any work you ask us to do

We do this because you asked us to contact you (our legitimate interest in replying to your enquiry, and taking steps at your request before entering a contract).

We do not sell your details, and we don't use them to send you marketing unless you have asked us to.

Who sees it

Your details are seen only by Home View Carpets. They are stored by the services we use to run our website and adverts:

  • Wix, which hosts our website and its forms

  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram), if you fill in one of our lead forms there

These companies process the information for us under their own privacy and security terms. We don't share your details with anyone else unless the law requires us to.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for up to 2 years so we can follow up and deal with any questions. If you become a customer, we keep job and invoice records for as long as the law requires, usually 6 years for tax purposes. After that we delete them.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

  • see the personal information we hold about you

  • correct it

  • delete it

  • stop using it
